New plans for Norwegian Air as expanding its network next summer with new transatlantic routes from two irish airport.
According to sources the low -cost carrier took final approval from US authorities to fly from Cork and Shannon airports of Ireland to Boston and New York of US.
Given that Norwegian is a low cost carrier fares for this transatlantic flights will be priced in low rates and company start to sale tickets early in 2017. Still the date concering the begin of sales remains unpublished.
Norwegian CEO Bjorn Kjos said: ‘’We welcome the long overdue that air irish subsidiary Norwegian Air International has been granted a foreign carrier permit by the US Department of Transportation’’.
As the story goes for Norwegian is not the first transatlantic routes expansion. The company flies from several other European cities to Boston with fares from just 135pounds one way or 250 GBP return.
