EASA: EUROPEAN OPERATIONAL RULES FOR BALLOONS


The agency with a new approach decide to integrate the balloons into the Regulation 965/2012
which concerns air operation for all aircraft including large passenger jet.

 According to the EASA's announcement this new draft rules of regulations contains a simpler and a proportionate operational rules without compromising safety.


The draft new rules are split up into two sub-parts. The first sub-part is applicable to all balloon operations and the second contains all additional rules for commercial operation.
The next step for the agency is to addressed to the European Commission the Revision of the operational rules for balloons that will use it to prepare the corresponding final regulation within 2016. 
 
Furthermore the European safety authority claims that this activity was conducted in the context of the EASA General Aviation road Map which represents changer towards more simpler and proportionate rules for the Aviation
