Back to business for the gulf carriers as they announced that the Authorities have approved their request for resuming a limited number of passenger flights amid the first week of April.
Dubai's Emirates airline resumes flight from 6 April as Business Traveller Indian reported. The rival United Arab Emirate air-carrier Etihad has announced that it will be operating scheduled flights from Abu Dabi to South Korea on April 5. Etihad has suspended passengers' flights from March,25.
Apart from South Korea's flight, Etihad has asked permission and approval for flights to Melbourne, Singapore, Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok, and Amsterdam.
On the other side, Emirate will commence flights from Dubai to London Heathrow for times per week and flights to Paris, Brussels, and Zurich three times per week.
Commenting HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said: While we hope to resume full operations as soon as possible, we acknowledge the challenges faced by many cities in dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak.
Our network can only be restored with the easing of travel restrictions, and we maintain close contact with all authorities for the latest updates.''
