OSCAR GOES TO QATAR AIRWAYS

The Oscar of aviation industry “world best airline” won Qatar airways in September at the Paris Air-show. Among other 10 nominees airlines the air carrier take the Oscar for the third time after 18.9 million passengers' votes . 

The awards event take place at the Musee de l'Air et de l'Espace as part of the Paris Air-show. Balloons, stars and the bosses from airlines were attending the world's known aerospace event.

Travellers from around the world take part each year  in the world's airline passenger survey to decide the award winners, which are a global benchmark and airline excellence.

“ Qatar airways has won the confidence of the travelling public. We have accomplished these goals by focusing on the details – how we run the business, and how you experience our airline” said on its website Akbar Al Baker Group Chief Executive of Qatar Airways.

The main categories are four and among the winners were three European airlines like Lufthansa as best airline in western Europe, Aegean as world's best regional airline, Finnair as Best Airline in northern Europe.

Earlier passengers from around the world had the opportunity- through the world's largest Airline Customer Satisfaction Survey to review airlines for everything from cleaning to friendliness. The head of this concept is Skytrax which is recognized for it's Airline and Airport star rating.

Best airline alliance awarded to "one world" among other nominees such as "Sky Team" and "Star Alliance"
