The greek civil aviation authority said in a statement that flights from UK to Greece and vice versa will run as usual and so far are no plans to halt flights.
However the government introduces seven days quarantine to all UK arrivals and taking a test compulsory at the borders. The new restrictions will be effective from Monday December 21 2020 at 06:00AM
The greek government has revised its travel restriction from 10 days to just three for EU arrival just for the festive period.
It seems the news regarding the mutation of Covid-19 didn't affect greek governments decision making to close the borders.
On hearing the news from UK's Prime Minister that a new variant of Covid-19 is spiking in London and the south East of England many countries such as Ireland, Germany, France, Netherlands, Hong Kong Canada, Turkey, Belgium Italy have banned flights from the UK until the end of the year.
