" I think it will be a common theme talking to my colleagues in other airlines across the world "Mr Joyce said.
Adding Mr Joyce said that trading conditions were the worst in the airline's 100-year history and that the impact on covid on all airlines is clear-it's devastating.

"Today borders are double locked. Testing is the first key to enable international travel without quarantine measures," said Alexandre de Juniac, IATA's director general and CEO in a statement
"The second key is the global information infrastructure needed to securely manage, share and verify test data matched with traveler identities in compliance with border control requirements. That's the job of IATA Travel Pass. We are bringing this to market in the coming months to also meet the needs of the various travel bubbles and public health corridors that are starting operation."
Qantas is interested in adopting the IATA's (International air transport Association's) Covid-19 digital passport.Based around on app IATA's travel pass provides passengers with information about testing or vaccination requirements in the country they are travelling to and where locally they receive those test or vaccinations from verified providers. The travel is currently in its final phase of development.
