ICAO: PASSENGERS TRAFFIC GROWTH

More and more people around the globe prefer jet-liner or propellers for their transportation according to international civil aviation organization whose statistics elements ensure that growth.

World scheduled air cargo traffic, measured in freight tonne-kilometres, grew by 2.2% in 2015 less than half of the 4.9% growth rate registered in 2014, so is considered a reflection of the stagnating general economic situation worldwide said I.C.A.O

Apart from the air disasters during 2015 and 2014 of Germawings plane over Swiss Alpines and the missing Air Malaysia flight a great number of passengers prefer air-planes in order to reach their desired destinations over last year. Departures also reached 3.4 million globally.

According to International Civil Aviation Organization noted 6.4% increase of the total number of passengers travelling by scheduled airlines.

From the other side the low cost Airlines had an important contributing factor overall growth in passenger traffic, as carried more than 950 million passengers in 2015. But is not the only factor because the falling oil price boost passengers traffic grobally by 1% compared to last year claims I.C.A.O.

Among other things the air transport composed of 1,400 commercial airlines, 4,130 airports and 173 air navigation services providers continued to play a critical role in 2015 in fostering the growth of tourism.Over half of the world’s 1.1 billion tourists are transported by air today, while aircraft carry 35% of world trade by value

Likewise the airlines who are expecting to record another benefit of $60million from the dicline of fuel costs and an operating margin of 7.6 % 2014 had seen an operating profit of $ 42 billion and operating margin of 5.5 %.
