Stockholm: Summer Hej


 Venice of north  Sweden as summer destination may be weird and of course someone will surprise friends and family if chose it for vacation. But Stockholm has a lot of leisure activities for  its own visitors. Fishing swimming watching the city from a crystal globe of Vasa museum or hiking roof the activities could cover the most fussy visitor. 


 
The summer in Stockholm  lasts 56 days.
Midsummer in Stockholm the tempereture is not so warm as the south part of Europe and seating in a cafeteria drinking coffee while reading a book and looking the rest of Swedish people doing “Fika” in one of the cafeteria in the center of the city. Fika for the offshoot of ancient Vikings means coffee break. A cinnamon bun a cup of filter coffee or cappuccino and little talk with their friends or themselves is part of their culture.

Most of the Swedish people said that is a tradition and also there is no particular reason to savour it even at night can . As it can take place every-time of the day and everywhere.
For instance Fika can take place as someone is on board and explore the thousands islands of Stockholm archipelagos. After cruising the entire country from south to north the hunger will beat the stomach so dinning and tasting the local food is the only solution.
Swedish people love sweets and that's why they invented calendar sweets delight as an excuse.

Restaurants serve the traditional Swedish plates such as salmon with boiled potato or the famous meatballs with french fried and “Raggmunk” Swedish potato pancake served with fried pork and lingoberries.


The summer nights in Stockholm have different behaviour and strong personality. As the night comes and the day leaves the changing of this phenomenon is not visible for the visitors. The duration of the night is only one hour and that's because Sweden lies at a high latitude much of the country has long daylights in summer.

However the Venice of north is famous for its clear waters and provides diving into the sea for a visitor who missed swimming as near the city there is Lake Malaren and as the locals said “you need only to take of your shoes and jump into water” so simply from the loud capital the tourist find himself relaxing in the beach.

Moreover sandy beach warm waters and green trees is the scene for classic Swedish Copacabana in Malmo and burst with life in July. The beach is only 10 minutes car ride to the city of Malmo which is 4hours and 10 minutes apart from Stockholm.
The city has as many as 30 official beach baths, but many more unofficial ones. Summertime, people tend to take a dip wherever they feel like it; Lake Mälaren has been clean enough to fish and swim in since 1971.


Undoubtedly the view of the city from the roof while hiking is an adventure and at the same time an incredible experience who worth it. It's unique combination of climbing and sightseeing and certainly for people who do not afraid of height.

Beer flows and the music is on so dancing is the ultimate feeling for the guests who will be part of the summer festivals around the city!The most famous festival in Europe is WOW and gathers every year more than 30.000 people.
