A threat to crash a plane into the US Capitol building was heard by the New York ai traffic controller on Monday afternoon.

The  message which threatened to bring a new 9/11 tragedy was delivered on January 4 in  a Digital voice and broadcasted on air traffic control frequencies:

"We are flying a plane into the capitol on Wednesday. Soleimani will be avenged said the recorded message as CBS News reported.

It has been almost a year since the death of Soleimani a powerful Iranian military figure who killed in a US drone attack ordered by President Trump on January 3,2020.

According to  Federal Aviation Administration the threat is believed to be not credible. However, it is now investigating the breach of air traffic control frequencies saying that the breach is an alarming itself.

The broadcasted threat was found to be made within the United States of America.

The FAA told Daily mail that "it works closely with federal law enforcement and national security partners on any reported security threats that may impact aviation safety".

FBI has not commended on the situation but said it takes all threats of violence to public safety very seriously.

“It is assessed that the technician responsible has radio modifying experience and is transmitting somewhere within 20NM (nautical miles) of the radio tower in North Sea, NY," Department of Homeland Security report.
